Whats new for 1991
MAJOR interior updates, including new dashboard/center console and a drivers side airbag is added. Seat belts are mounted in the pillar (again), a new blend option on
climate controls allows driver to use defrost and heat simultaneously, heat ducts under driver and passenger seat help keep rear occupants warm. Power trunk button is
moved from inside the arm rest to the center console. Ashtray is moved from just under the climate control to just behind the now optional (on base model) arm rest. Ashtray
now doubles as a cup holder. New Dual Cup holders are on the passenger side of the dash, just above the glove box. Electronic gage package is no longer available.
Base steering wheel sport a silver Chevy bowtie on the airbag cover, GT & GTZ steering wheels sport red Chevy bowties. 1992 through1996 the bowtie emblem is simply an outline on the airbag,
Gone is the storage bin, the one under the steering wheel on the drivers side. Perhaps the most celebrated change, NEW & IMPROVED map pockets! Beretta comes in fewer color
options this year (red, blue, turquoise, white, black and maroon). Interior color is limited to gray, blue, maroon and black (which is only available in cars with white, black or red paint).
Exterior changes on Base Beretta include a new solid paint appearance, no more black side trim on doors/bumpers. GT and GTZ take it further with body colored grill and side mirrors.
Cross lace alloy rims are now standard on GT model. Color-keyed lace-spoke alloys are an available optionon GT, along with revised graphics. A CD player is newly optional on all models.
GTZ can be ordered with the more tame 3.1-liter V6 found in other Berettas so that folks who hate to shift their own gears can get a GTZ with an automatic transmission. All Quad four GTZs come with a five-speed only
